Dwarfed by the global budgets, and giant burgers, of larger competitors, Krystal needed a big way to make its famously small food stand out. So in order to give their square burgers an edge, we worked with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to create the Krystal puppets. Used in the rollout of Krystal’s new Country Fried Steak lineup, these puppets literally let Krystal’s food do the talking. And when the time came to promote the new menu items in social media, executions were no less creative, including “Country Fried Countries,” nods to the hottest trends of the times, and scenes that took our puppets and food everywhere from the beach to Gotham.
